Quote, estimate or invoice?
A quote is a fixed price you're offering for the job. An estimate is your best guess, and the final price can change. An invoice comes after the work and asks to be paid. Many businesses send a quote, get a yes, then send an invoice for the same items.
What to put on a quote in Nigeria
Your business and customer details, a quote number and date, a line for each part of the job, the total, any VAT, how long the price stands, and what's not included. Clear terms stop arguments later.
VAT on quotes
VAT in Nigeria is 7.5%. You only add it if your business is registered for VAT; many small businesses fall below the registration threshold and don't charge it. If you do charge VAT, show your TIN and the VAT amount on the invoice. Tax rules have been changing, so check the current position with the tax authority or an accountant.
