Gripd

Terms of Service

Effective August 11, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Gripd, a web app for tracking income and expenses across informal work ("hustles"), operated by Gripd.ng ("Gripd", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Gripd, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What Gripd is

Gripd is a personal record-keeping tool. It lets you manually log income and expenses, organize them by hustle and category, set budgets, create invoice records, and view reports. Gripd is not a bank, a payment processor, a lender, or a financial advisor, and nothing in the app constitutes financial, tax, or legal advice. Report summaries and any "insights" shown in the app are automated observations computed from the data you enter — not professional advice, and not a guarantee of accuracy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Gripd. By signing up, you confirm this is true.

3. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Wallet, subscriptions, and billing

Gripd uses a pay-as-you-go wallet: you top up your wallet through our payment processor (Flutterwave), and that balance is used to pay for Basic/Pro subscriptions and any per-invoice fees on the Free plan. Gripd never sees or stores your card details — Flutterwave handles that directly.

Subscriptions renew monthly by debiting your wallet balance on the renewal date. If your balance is insufficient at renewal, your plan is automatically downgraded to Free — we do not charge a card automatically or put you in debt. Wallet top-ups are generally non-refundable once successfully credited, except where required by applicable law.

5. Invoices

Gripd's invoicing feature creates a record of what a customer owes you and can display payment details you provide (e.g. your bank account) so your customer knows where to pay you directly. Gripd does not collect, hold, or transmit payment on your behalf for invoices, and is not responsible for a customer's failure to pay, or for errors in the payment details you choose to enter.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Gripd for anything unlawful, to enter fraudulent records, to attempt to access another user's data, or to interfere with the service's normal operation.

7. Notifications

Push notifications (reminders, wallet alerts, renewal alerts) are opt-in and can be turned off from your device or browser settings at any time. In-app notifications related to your account activity may still appear regardless.

8. Your data

How we collect, use, and protect your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Gripd is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gripd and Gripd.ng are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on reports or insights shown in the app.

10. Termination

You can stop using Gripd and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Gripd after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
